33 Tips to School Survival

Tip #1: During the first day of school, show to the new students what a great person you can be. Don’t be obvious in showing yourself as an outcast. It is an opportunity for you to make new friends.

Tip#2: Be courteous and behave when meeting new teachers. Show them a good first impression.

Tip#3: Open up to suggestions when someone judges you and gives you ideas.

Tip#4: Suggest for your favored food in the cafeteria. Survey for what kind of food is favored and wanted by other students in your campus.

Tip#5: Avoid falling asleep while discussions are going on. Have a heavy breakfast before coming to school, to keep you healthy and alert.

Tip#6: When you are new in school, tour around and remember the nearest comfort rooms, libraries, classrooms, cafeteria, etc.

Tip#7: Have someone else, not new to the school tour you around.

Tip#8: Always keep in mind schedules to avoid getting late in classes.

Tip#9: Look around your classroom. Feel comfortable in your seat. Suggest for any improvements.

Tip#10: Sit beside someone you are comfortable with.

Tip#11: Sit near a window or any area in the room that is cozy and not warm enough for you to pour some sweat.

Tip#12: Keep a smiling attitude when you arrive home. Show to mom and dad what a great day you just had in school.

Tip#13: Mingle with other people, not in your batch. It is always nice to have friends all over the school.

Tip#14: Talk to a guidance councilor or teacher when you feel unwanted around by school mates.

Tip#15: Keep your hair tidy and clean when studying for a test. It helps you concentrate on your studies and not to anything else.

Tip#16: Listen to music. Concentration when studying is very important. Listening to music keeps you from hearing any other noise.

Tip#17: Relax or take a good nap before studying for a test.

Tip#18: Always make a study guide. Avoid studying the whole book.

Tip#20: Try anything to shorten your notes so not to waste time. Make sure it is brief, concise and complete.
